Terminal Information – Departing
This is only a guideline. Always check your boarding pass for up-to-date terminal information.
Norwegian Air Shuttle and Scandinavian Airlines both depart from terminal 2 (the international terminal). Shops in this terminal include Heinemann Duty Free, Capi (electronics), Fashion (clothing), Ark (books) and Christiana Glassmagasin (crystal, glassware and gifts). There's a good selection of places to grab a bite to eat. There's Yo! Sushi and the Seafood Bar if you're looking for something a bit fancy, an Upper Crust if you need a quick sandwich, a Pizza Hut and a self-serve Foodmarket restaurant. There are two pubs: O'Learys and News Bar. Two hours of free Wi-Fi access is provided throughout the airport. There are three executive lounges in the international terminal: the OSL-lounge (open to all passengers for NOK 300*/just under £25); the Scandinavian Lounge for Star Alliance Gold members; and the Scandinavian Business Lounge for passengers travelling on full-price tickets with SAS, Wideroe, Blue 1 or any Star Alliance Airline.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Stockholm-Arlanda Airport is connected to the city by train and bus links. Flygbussarna and Swebus are the express buses, charging SEK 99* (about £8.20) for a one-way ticket into the city. The express train is more expensive at SEK 280* (about £23.20) for a single or SEK 530* (just under £44) for a return. This train takes 20 minutes to reach Stockholm. Non-express trains take twice as long, but are a lot cheaper at SEK 135* (about £11.20) for a single ticket. Note that you will need to pay a fee of SEK 85* (just over £7) to access the train station. Taxis are also available from the airport, and each company offers its own flat rate. Expect to pay about SEK 450-520* (around £37-43). Car hire at Stockholm Arlanda is also available: remember to compare prices with Skyscanner first.
Norway and Sweden have recently tightened their border controls. Although previously passports weren't required when travelling between Nordic countries, it's now a requirement that everyone (even Nordic citizens) show their identification. We recommend arriving at the airport at least 90 minutes before your flight is scheduled to depart.
