Thai Airways (TG), British Airways (BA) and Eva Air (BR) operate daily direct flights from Heathrow Airport to Bangkok. Flights depart from Terminal 2 at Heathrow Airport apart from British Airways, departing from Terminal 5.
Travel documents required for flights from London to Bangkok
You are required to travel with a passport that has been valid for a minimum of six months prior to entry into Thailand and is usually refused if your passport is damaged or has pages missing. British passports that have been extended for 12 months by a British Embassy or Consulate are accepted at Bangkok Airport.
British citizens arriving in Bangkok from London can enter Thailand for up to 30 days without a visa which is known as a visa exemption. However, it is not possible to extend your trip beyond the 30 days granted by the exemption.

Bangkok Airport is located 30km to the east of Bangkok city and the first thing you’ll want to do is adjust your watch by putting it forward 7 hours to match local time.
Transfers to Bangkok are available via the Airport Rail Link (ARL) which is the fastest way to get right into the city centre. The ARL operates form the first floor of Bangkok Airport connecting to the MRT underground system at Makkasan City Interchange Station and the BTS Skytrain at Phayathai Station. Fares start at around THB 45 for a single ticket and THB90 for an express ticket.
There are several public bus routes from Bangkok Airport with air-conditioned coaches providing shuttle services between first-class hotels in downtown Bangkok and the airport. If you wish you can upgrade to a Limousine Service available to book from the Arrivals Hall on the 2nd floor.
There are car hire desks at Bangok Airport for Avis, Europcar, Budget, Hertz, Sixt and Thai Rent-a-car located at the Car Rental service counter in the Arrivals area.
Taxis are available from the departure terminal of Bangkok Airport and the journey to the city centre is around 30 minutes, costing between THB200-400.
