Airlines that fly from London to Budapest

There are a number of direct flights from London airports to Budapest. Easyjet and Norwegian both fly from Gatwick Airport, British Airways fly from Heathrow, Wizz Air flights fly from Luton and Ryanair fly from Stansted.

Terminal Information

It is recommended that you arrive at the airport at least two hours before your flight to Budapest is scheduled to depart. You can save time during check in by checking in online or via mobile app and then simply dropping off any hold luggage you have at the bag drop desks.

Gatwick Airport

Passengers flying from Gatwick Airport with Easyjet will need to head to the north terminal for their flight, Norwegian flights depart from the south terminal. The two terminals are connected with an inter-shuttle train which operates every few minutes throughout the day.

A number of fashion high street brands and designer labels are available in the North Terminal such as Pandora, Harrods, Cath Kidston and Ted Baker. Last minute holiday essentials or reading for the flight can be picked up from London News Company, WHSmith and Boots. Fast food and restaurant choices include Armadillo, Starbucks, Jamie’s Italian and Garfunkels Restaurant. A similar selection of shops and places to eat can be found in South terminal.

Heathrow Airport

British Airways flights from Heathrow to Budapest depart from Terminal 3, after finding your check in zone which is listed on the screens at the entrance of the terminal. Terminal 3 is home to John Lewis, Harrods and a choice of popular UK shops. Stansted Airport

Luton Airport

If you are flying from Luton to Budapest you will find the single terminal at the airport easy to navigate. One thing to bear in mind is the distance between the departures lounge and the gates, with some gates a 15 minute walk from the lounge. It is therefore recommended you confirm the gate you are flying from and ensure you leave enough time. Budapest Airport

Budapest Airport is located 20km away from Budapest city centre and is well connected by road for those hiring a car or taking a taxi and public transport. After arriving at the terminal you can take the 200E bus from Terminal 2 to the Ferihegy train station then onto the metro line 3.

If you are planning on using public transport during your trip to Budapest then the Budapest Info Point desk in the arrivals hall sell 24, 48 and 72 hour cards which allows unlimited use of public transport during the time period. A BKK (Centre for Budapest Transport) customer service desk is located within arrivals if you need assistance planning your journey from the airport.
