As one of the most popular holiday destinations from London, there are a number of flights available to Ibiza from all of London’s airports.
Ryanair, EasyJet and Thomas Cook Airlines fly direct from Stansted to Ibiza and flights from Luton are served by EasyJet. Monarch, Norwegian, British Airways, Condor, EasyJet and Thomson Airways all operate flights from Gatwick Airport to Ibiza. British Airways also serve flights to Ibiza from Heathrow and London City Airport.
You should arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight to Ibiza is scheduled to depart. To save time on arrival to the airport online and mobile check in is available in advance, with bag drop facilities at each of the airports for any hold luggage you may have.
Gatwick Airport has two terminals and flights to Ibiza depart from both depending on the airline you are flying with. If you need to travel between the two terminals a free inter-airport shuttle is available throughout the day with a transfer time of 2 minutes.
Easyjet, Condor and British Airways flights from Gatwick all depart from the North Terminal. After passing security and reaching the departures lounge you will have some time to spend in the many shops such as Accessorize, World Duty Free, Pandora and Dune. A selection of restaurants and cafes include Shake-a-hula, Union Jacks Bar by Jamie Oliver and Comptoir Libanais.
Norwegian and Monarch are both based in the South Terminal, with a similar choice of shops as to those in the North terminal you will be able to buy last minute essentials or explore what’s to offer from Harrods. Food options are varied featuring Giraffe, Apostrophe, Costa and Wonderstreet.
Terminal 5 is the exclusive base for British Airways flights, with check in on the top floor of the terminal and a number of facilities in the spacious departure lounge. Boots, Hamleys, Mulberry and Rolling Luggage are amongst the many shops available alongside an exciting selection of places to eat including the Pilots Bar and Kitchen, Wagamama and the Fortnum & Mason Champagne Bar.
Stansted Airport has one terminal making it easy to find your way around, with check in zones clearly signed on the ground floor. In the departures lounge refreshments can be found from a large variety of bars, coffee shops and restaurants such as Halo, Starbucks, Illustrious Bar and Giraffe. Hamley’s, JD, Boots and Next are a selection of shops available and an additional bag policy which allows you to take a standard shopping bag on board with your hand luggage means you will have a little extra space available.
Luton Airport’s single terminal is the base for EasyJet flights, the size of the terminal does however mean the departure gates for your flight may be up to a 15 minute walk from the departures lounge so ensure you leave in plenty of time. Hotel Chocolat, Aelia Duty Free, Boots, Pip, Wasabi and Starbucks are just some of the many shops and places to eat found in the departures lounge.
London City Airport
The British Airways CityFlyer departs from London City Airport, if checking in to your flight in advance you will need to use the blue self-service kiosks for hold luggage which are located in the terminal building. Or, if travelling to the airport by train, you will find kiosks the walkway between the terminal and the Docklands Light Railway Station. After using the kiosk take your bag to the British Airways Check-in desk 7.
London City Airport operates a silent terminal with no announcements made to call passengers to boarding gates, it is therefore important you find your gate and keep track of time.
A small number of shops and places to eat are located in the departures lounge, ideal for any last minute shopping for your holiday or a bite to eat before the flight. These include Rhubarb, Café Nero, Panapolis, Boots and WHSmith.
Ibiza Airport serves the entire Balearic Island of Ibiza and Formentera, conveniently located 7.5km from the Ibiza Town, 20km from San Antonio, Santa Eulalia and 28km from San Miguel.
In front of the arrivals hall there are a number of buses available for transfers to the popular resort towns on the island and a taxi rank. Bus Route 10 takes you from the airport to Ibiza Bus Station with a number of convenient stops at ports and Ibiza hotels on the route, running every 15 minutes during July and August and every 20 minutes between April and October.

What to expect in Ibiza
Ibiza, which is only 1 hour ahead of the UK is known for its party locations and a dry sunny climate throughout the year.
