Airlines that fly from London to Copenhagen

Flights from London to Copenhagen depart from Luton, Gatwick and Heathrow. Flights from Luton are served by Easyjet and Ryanair. Easyjet and Norwegian both offer flights from Gatwick and Scandinavian Airways and British Airways offer flights from Heathrow.

Terminal Information

You should arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight to Copenhagen is scheduled to depart. Check in options include online and mobile which can be done from 24 hours before your flight or you can check in when you arrive at the airport. Heathrow Airport

British Airways flights from Heathrow to Copenhagen depart from Terminal 5 whereas passengers travelling with Scandinavian Airways will need to head to Terminal 2 for their flight. Terminal 2 shops and places to eat include John Lewis, Michael Kors, The Perfectionists’ Café, Wondertree and Yo! Sushi. In Terminal 5 you will find Boots, Hamleys, Harrods, Fortnum and Mason’s Champagne Bar, Huxleys and Starbucks amongst others.

Gatwick Airport

Both Easyjet and Norwegian flights from Gatwick to Copenhagen depart from the South terminal at Gatwick Airport. Within the South terminal a selection of fashion brands such as Fatface, Zara and Mango and cafes and restaurants from Jamie’s Italian to Starbucks. Up to 90 minutes of free Wi-Fi is available in the terminals.

Luton Airport

Luton Airport is the base for budget airlines Ryanair and Easyjet, with one terminal it is easy to navigate with plenty of leisure facilities to enjoy. Pret a Manger, Krispy Kreme and Wasabi are included in the selection of places to eat and shops in the departures lounge include Boots, Dxons, Aelia Duty Free and Mac Cosmetics. When you arrive in the departures lounge you should locate the gate for your flight, some of the gates are a 15 minute walk away from the lounge.

Wi-Fi is available within the terminal, up to 30 minutes free then from £3 per hour thereafter.

Copenhagen Airport

Copenhagen Airport is located to the south of the city, 10km away and 15km away from Copenhagen Malmo Port which is a popular cruise port for Baltic cruises. There are currently two terminals; Terminal 2 and Terminal 3, the arrivals area for both is shared and located within Terminal 3.

Excellent road, metro and rail links connect the airport to the rest of Denmark and Scandinavia. An airport train station is in easy reach under Terminal 3 with a number of services available to Copenhagen, South Sweden and cities in the north of Germany, the ticket office is located in Terminal 3. The Metro station in Terminal 3 runs services every 5-6 minutes and takes around 15 minutes to reach central Copenhagen. Car hire from Copenhagen Airport is available with a number of car hire companies located within the arrivals hall.

What to expect in Copenhagen

Copenhagen’s coastal location means the weather is typically wetter and milder than what you would experience in London with an average temperature of 11 degrees, compared to London’s 15.2.

Although Denmark is part of the EU, the currency is the Kroner.
