Terminal Information – Departing

Glasgow-International Airport has one terminal. The departure lounge is compact with a small selection of places to shop, eat and relax. There are plenty of 'typical' airport shops. You can browse premium goods in World Duty Free, buy last-minute holiday toiletries in Boots, or stock up on snacks for the 'plane in WH Smith. There's also a Maplin, perfect for picking up essentials such as plug adaptors and noise-cancelling headphones. If you're peckish you can grab an on-the-go snack at Upper Crust. If you're a big hungrier you can sit down for an Italian-American meal at Frankie & Benny's or some pub grub at The Sandpiper. There's also a Starbucks, in case you need a caffeine fix. The airport has one business lounge, Upper Deck, which has unlimited Wi-Fi and a selection of snacks and drinks. It's available to passengers on all airlines, and you pay to enter on the door.

Terminal Information – Arriving

Krakow Airport's arrival hall is located in terminal 1. The airport has excellent public transport connections. You can reach the city by local bus, express bus or train. Local buses 208 and 292 take about 40 minutes to reach the city centre. Tickets cost PLN 4* (about 75p) for a single or PLN 5* (about 90p) for a transferable ticket. Transferable tickets can be used for up to one hour on the city's public transport network, including trams and buses. This is the best option if you need to travel a bit to reach your hotel. Tickets must be validated (stamp it in the machine) when you board the bus. If you don't do this you can be fined. The express bus is faster: it takes about 25 minutes to reach Galeria Krakowska in the city centre. Tickets are more expensive at PLN 10* (about £1.85). The train takes 20 minute to reach the city centre and tickets cost PLN 8* (about £1.50). Car hire at Krakow Airport is available, and the desks are in the multi-storey car park. There's also a taxi rank at the airport: expect to pay PLN 89* (about £18) to reach the city centre.
