Terminal Information – Arriving

Schiphol Airport may be huge, but it's easy to find your way out and into the city. Arriving passengers are all filtered into Schiphol Plaza. This is where you can find the car rental desks (remember to compare prices on car hire from Amsterdam airport first) and public transport.

The train is the fastest way to reach the city centre. You'll find the train station downstairs from the Plaza. Tickets to Centraal Station cost €3.90* (about £2.80). Buy them from the ticket machines before boarding. If your hotel is in Museumplein or Leidseplein the Airport Express bus will be more convenient. Tickets are slightly more expensive at €5* (about £3.60). If you're feeling really flush, you can take a taxi: they charge anywhere from €40-50 (£29-36) depending on where in the city you're travelling to.

Practical Information
