Terminal Information – Departing
Bristol Airport has one terminal. You'll find a small but useful range of shops in the departure lounge, perfect for picking up last-minute holiday essentials. If you're travelling with hand-luggage only you'll need to pop into Boots or Superdrug to pick up a full-size bottle of sunscreen. There's a JD Sports in case you forgot to pack your swimming cossie, and a Dixon's Travel if you need to pick up some travel adaptors or noise cancelling headphone for the flight. There's also a World Duty Free. Hungry travellers can enjoy a snack at Burger King or Starbucks, or sit down for a relaxing lunch at The Cabin or Dexters. Bristol Airport has two premium lounges, both run by Aspire. The regular lounge charges £19.99* for access while the Aspire Plus lounge charges £29.99*. Both lounges offer free Wi-Fi and complimentary refreshments, but the adults-only Plus lounge provides a more luxurious offering.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Valencia Airport's arrival terminal is well connected by public transport. The airport has a Metro station and it takes around 25 minutes to reach Carrer de Colon in the city centre. Two Metro lines serve the airport, so have a quick check to find out which one is nearest your accommodation. To use the Metro, buy a rechargeable ticket for €1* (about 80p) first. This can be used throughout your trip. Load the card with a ticket from Zone D to Zone A to reach the city centre: this should cost €3.90* (about £3.10). Bus 150 also runs between the airport and the city, with a journey length of 45 minutes. Tickets cost €1.45* (about £1.15) each way. There's a taxi rank immediately outside the building: they're metered, but you can expect to pay €22* (just under £17.50) for the trip into the city centre. Note that taxi tariffs are higher during evenings and weekends. Another option is to book car hire at Valencia Airport: Avis, Europcar, Enterprise and Hertz all have reception desks in the arrivals hall.
You need a valid passport to fly from Bristol to Valencia. We recommend arriving at the airport at least 90 minutes before your flight is scheduled to depart. Give yourself extra time if you're travelling during the school summer holidays.
