Birmingham Airport has just one terminal and is easy to navigate. If you want to speed up your journey through security, you can head for the Express Lane. You’ll need to purchase a priority pass, either online in advance or from machines outside the security area on the day. Whilst you may still have to queue, you’ll generally make it through to the departures lounge much more quickly.
Once you’ve arrived in the departures lounge, you’ll find a good selection of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. For holiday essentials there’s Boots, Dixons and WHSmith while for little luxuries there’s Pandora, Victoria’s Secret and Hugo Boss. Food and drink outlets offer a range of options. Whether you’re looking for a full English breakfast, a coffee and pastry, or just a pint before your flight, you’ll find a good selection including Costa Coffee, a Wetherspoon’s pub, All Bar One, Giraffe and Burger King.
Premium lounges are also available for a fee. Passengers can pay in advance online or pay at the lounge receptions on the day. You can choose from the Aspire Lounge which offers complimentary drinks and snacks, free Wi-Fi and a view of the runway, and No. 1 Lounge which offers a bistro food service, meeting rooms and a dedicated business service. Both lounges are a relaxing and peaceful place to spend the time before your journey.
