East Midlands Airport enjoys a convenient location in Leicestershire in easy reach of Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham and Derby.
It is recommended that you arrive at the airport at least one hour before your flight to Edinburgh is scheduled to depart. Flybe has check in desks at the airport or online check in available in advance.
The single airport terminal has a number of facilities available in the departures lounge to enjoy whilst waiting for your flight. The small selection of shops in the departures lounge are Superdrug, Dixons, World Duty Free and WHSmith. A food court is located on the first floor and is home to a number of food and drink outlets including Castle Rock Taproom and Kitchen, Flat White and Burger King. A Grab and Fly snack shop is located near gates 1-5 for those needing to pick up a snack or coffee in a hurry.
The departure lounge which has been recently redeveloped is home to a number of facilities to make the wait for your flight more enjoyable with a children’s play area in the Food Court and comfortable seating in the Dwell Area.

Trams run regularly from the airport to the city centre and the Edinburgh Airlink Bus is available 24 hours a day. Car hire is available from Edinburgh Airport with car hire companies such as Avis and Budget operating from a dedicated car hire centre. Taxis from the airport operate from the taxi rank outside of the main terminal building.
