Edinburgh Airport

Edinburgh Airport, located 8 miles from the centre of Edinburgh is connected to the city with excellent transport links so you can easily reach the airport. It is advised you arrive at the airport 1 hour before your domestic flight, and you can save time by checking in online, or by mobile before arriving. Check in desks are located the check in hall along with bag drop desks which you will need to use for any hold luggage.

Edinburgh Airport is easy to navigate with a single terminal and a full range of facilities within the departures lounges. Shops within the lounge include Boots, WH Smith, WH Smith Books, the Liquorice Tree gift shop, MAC, Dixons and a number of designer brands such as Kurt Geiger and Hugo Boss. If you have time before your flight to have something to eat there are a number of restaurants such as The Gathering, Yo! Sushi and Thermidors Seafood Bar. The Gathering Deli, Eat, Costa and Café Nero are also available within the lounge for snacks and coffee. When relaxing in the lounge there is free wifi available for up to two hours and power points to charge your phone.

Manchester Airport

Manchester Airport has 3 terminals with Flybe flights from Edinburgh arriving into Terminal 3. Within the arrivals hall there are a number of essentials you may require before proceeding to your onward travel such as a Spar convenience store, WHSmith and Caffe Nero.

The airport is located 10 miles from the city centre with a number of public transport connections available. There is a train station on the grounds of the airport, this is a 7 minute walk from Terminal 3, alternatively a shuttle bus is in operation from the outside of Terminal 3 Arrivals to the station. Trains run every 10 minutes to Manchester Piccadilly Station and on average takes 20 minutes.

If you have booked a stay at a Manchester Airport Hotel, or car hire from the Airport then shuttle buses are available to the hotels or Car Rental Village from the bus stops outside of the terminal.
