The airport also has a huge shopping centre called the Paseo Mall that’s worth a visit. What to Expect When Arriving in Sapporo

The JR Airport Express Train is a popular option taken by travellers to come into the city after their flights from Tokyo to Sapporo. Express trains leave the airport every 15 minutes, and the trip into the city takes just under 40 minutes. Signage is offered in English as well as Japanese, so you should have no problem finding the train terminal. Bus services are available to many different locations in Sapporo, but drivers may not speak English. Taxi service is also available. If you take a taxi, remember that tipping is not commonly done in Japan.
