Flights from London land at Miami Airport's North and South Terminals. A free shuttle is available from the airport to the nearbyTri-Rail and Metrorail stations. If you're staying in part of the city not served by public transport you can take a cab from the taxi rank or rent a car. If you decide to hire a car, be sure to compare prices with Skyscanner first. There's a free tram from the airport to the Car Rental Center, where all of the car hire firms are based.
We recommend arriving at the airport two hours before your flight is due to depart. British citizens need a valid passport to visit Miami. A Visa Waiver Programme (VWP) is in place for people who are visiting the USA for up to 90 days for leisure or on short business trips. The VWP is not available to people who want to work in the USA, have a criminal record, or have visited Iran, Iraq, Syria or Sudan since 2011 (or have dual nationality with these countries). If in doubt, speak to the American embassy. If you are eligible for the VWP you will need to fill in an online ESTA 72 hours before you fly.
