Terminal Information – Departing
Southampton Airport has one terminal. You'll find a small but serviceable range of shops and eateries in the departure lounge. There's a WH Smith if you need some snacks or a magazine to read on the 'plane, and a World Duty Free if you want to browse some luxury goods. If you're hungry you can enjoy a coffee and a sandwich at Costa, or a bigger meal at The Olive Tree. There's also a bar, The Globe Bar and Kitchen, located just before security. Free Wi-Fi is available for up to four hours. Southampton Airport has one executive lounge, The Priority Lounge, and access starts at £10* per person. Complimentary snacks and better Wi-Fi are available inside, ideal if you have a bit of work to finish before boarding your flight to Belfast.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Belfast City is ideal for business travellers or anyone on a tight schedule as it's only three miles from the city centre. The Airport Express 600 bus is the easiest way to get into town, and goes direct to the Europa bus station in the city centre. Single tickets are £2.50* and can be purchased from the driver. If you're really in a hurry, you can grab a taxi from the rank outside the arrivals hall. Expect to pay about £10* for a trip into town. If you prefer to drive yourself you can hire a car at Belfast City Airport. Remember to compare prices with Skyscanner. Car hire firms at the airport include Avis, Budget, Europcar and Hertz.
You don't need a passport to fly between Southampton and Belfast. You will need to show some photographic identification at the departure gate. We recommend checking Flybe's website for an up to date list of acceptable ID on domestic routes. Usually driving licenses, NUS cards, and passports that have expired within the past two years are fine.
