Terminal Information – Arriving

Montreal-Trudeau airport is just over 12 miles from the city centre. Despite this, it can take up to an hour to reach the city centre if your flight arrives during rush hour. Taxis are available from outside the departures hall: there's a fixed rate of CAD $40* (just under £22) to downtown Montreal. Public transport is also available, with the STM Airport Express 747 a popular option. Tickets cost CAD $10* (about £5.50) and this includes 24 hours usage on the STM public transport network. Three-day passes and weekend passes are also available from the ticket machines. Car hire is available from global agencies Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty.

Practical Information

We recommend arriving at the airport at least two hours before your flight is scheduled to depart. You need a valid passport to fly between New York and Montreal.  US citizens don't need a visa or an electronic travel authorisation (eTA) to visit Canada.
