It is recommended that passengers on flights from Newcastle to Alicante should arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before their scheduled flight time. Ryanair and Easyjet only offer online or mobile check in. Bag drop desks are located in the check in hall for hold luggage. After checking in you will need to go through security, Fast Track passes are available to purchase from vending machines outside of security, for those who wish to have use of the dedicated fast track security lane .

In the departures lounge at Newcastle Airport you can shop at Boots, WH Smith, JD Sports, Accessorize and a duty free store. Alicante Airport

Alicante Airport is one of the busiest airports in Spain, just 12km south of Alicante it enjoys a convenient location to serve the Costa Blanca.

When making the final leg of your journey from the airport you will have buses, taxis or rental cars available to you. Taxis can be a quick and easy way to reach your destination, the taxi rank is just outside of the terminal exit. A typical taxi journey to Alicante takes roughly 20 minutes. Alternatively, if you want access to a car during your trip you can hire a car from Alicante Airport.

Bus services run from the airport to the main tourist destinations surrounding the airport such as Alicante, Benidorm and Murcia.
