Flights from London to Zurich are available from four of London’s airports. London City Airport to Zurich flights are operated by BA Cityflyer and Swiss which operated by Helvetic and Swiss. Flights from Gatwick and Luton to Zurich are operated by EasyJet. Flights from Heathrow to Zurich are operated by British Airways and Swiss.

Terminal Information

You should arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight to Zurich is scheduled to depart. Check in is available at the airports or in advance using the online or mobile check in facilities provided by your airline.

London City Airport

London City is a single terminal airport with a small selection of shops and places to eat in the departures lounge. These cover all the essentials with Boots, WHSmith, Aelia Duty Free, Rhubarb and Caffe Nero. If you have checked-in in advance and have hold luggage there are blue self-service bag check-in kiosks located in the terminal.

The airport operates a no announcement policy unless in case of an emergency, which means there will be no boarding calls for your flight.

Gatwick Airport

Easyjet flights to Zurich depart from the North terminal at Gatwick which has a large choice of shops and food outlets including Boots, Dune, Harrods, Jamie’s Italian, Wagamama and Starbucks. 90 minutes of free Wi-Fi and charging points for mobile phones are available in the departures lounge.

If you are travelling to Gatwick via train you will arrive at the South terminal, a shuttle train is available which runs every few minutes between the terminals.

Heathrow

Sushi. You should check the gate your flight is flying from when you arrive into the departures lounge as some gates can be up to 15 minutes away from the main lounge.

Luton is a single terminal airport with a number of facilities available including Boots, Hotel Chocolat, Aelia Duty Free, Wasabi and Starbucks. Zurich Airport

Zurich Airport is Switzerland’s largest airport located 12km north of the city of Zurich. There are 3 terminals at the airport with flights from London arriving into Arrivals area 2.

Zurich Airport has an excellent infrastructure which offers a choice of onward travel options which can get you to your destination with ease. Under the Airport Centre building there is the SBB travel centre which is home to the Zurich Airport railway station with trains available regularly, reaching Zurich in under 15 minutes. Within the SBB travel centre and the arrivals hall there are a number of self-service ticket machines, staffed ticket counters and a Switzerlandinfo+ counter which can assist you with your travel options and tickets.

Bus and tram stops are located outside of the airport with services that cover Zurich the towns surrounding Zurich Airport including the Glatt Valley and Winterthur. If travelling by road there is a taxi rank is situated outside of arrivals, or if you would prefer to hire a car from the airport you will find car hire desks in the arrivals hall.
