Oman Air flights

Oman Air is Oman’s national Airline. Founded in 1993, Oman Air flies to more than 50 destinations in 27 countries worldwide. Since launching, Oman Air has received considerable recognition for its quality service. Recent awards include the ‘World’s Leading Business Class Airline – Middle East’ and the ‘Best Economy Class Airline – Middle East’ at the 2016 World Travel Awards. In the same year, Oman Air was also awarded the Business Destinations ‘Best Business Class Airline, Middle East’ award. Why fly Oman Air

How to check in

Online check-in is available from between 24 hours and 90 minutes before your flight is due to depart. If you check in online, you will need to print your boarding pass and bring it to the airport. You can also check in using the Oman Air mobile app, which downloads a copy of the boarding pass to your phone. Airport check-in counters are open from between 3 hours and 60 minutes before the flight departure time. If you are flying from Muscat International Airport, early check-in is also available from up to 8 hours before the flight’s departure time.

Seating

The Airbus A330, the main widebody jet used by Oman Air, has a generous seat pitch (the distance between your seat and the seat in front) of 34 inches and 18 inches in width in economy. If you need more legroom than that, it’s possible to upgrade your seat to an exit or front row seat with more legroom. Business class has an even larger seat pitch of 82 inches and a width of 22 inches, while First Class has a seat pitch of 85.5 inches and a width of 25.5.

Booking fees

Currently there are no booking fees to pay on Oman Air tickets. However, you may be liable to pay fees for changing or cancelling a ticket.

Service on board

In-flight meals are included with all tickets on Oman Air, but this isn't just any airplane food. The airline has received special recognition for its in-flight meals in the past, winning the Saveur readers choice award for best First Class and Business Class in-flight dining. Special meals for dietary or religious requirements can be booked during the booking process or by contacting Oman Air directly. In-flight entertainment is available on all Oman Air flights, and you’ll be able to pass the time watching the latest International and Arabic movies, and to listen to music, audio books, and the radio.

Punctuality

Oman Air’s main flight from the UK, London Heathrow to Muscat, has an average delay time of 20 minutes. This is slightly longer than British Airways’ average delay time for the same route, which is 17 minutes.
