Terminal Information – Departing
From Glasgow-International: The airport has one terminal with a good range of shops, eateries, and other distractions. There's a soft-play area for little ones while bigger kids can enjoy 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi. The UpperDeck executive lounge offers a bit of added luxury. Inside you can enjoy unlimited internet and complimentary snacks and drinks. In the main departure lounge you can enjoy tax-free shopping in stores such as World Duty Free, Maplin, and The Fashion Place. There are twelve places to eat and drink, so you don't need to fly on an empty stomach. Have a slap-up meal at Frankie & Benny's, a quick sandwich at EAT, or a coffee and cake at Starbucks.
From Glasgow-Prestwick: Prestwick Airport is a Ryanair hub with one terminal. Compared to Glasgow-International it's quite basic. There are two shops (Nuance Tax & Duty Free and WHSmith), a bar (Elvis Bar) and a restaurant (Food Village). There's also a Starbucks before security if you need a quick pick-me-up. Look out for references to The King: Prestwick Airport is famously the only place in the UK where Elvis Presley stepped foot. Two hours of free Wi-Fi and a kids play area offer some easy distractions.
Terminal Information – Arriving
There is only one terminal at Alicante Airport. There's a taxi rank outside the arrivals area and car rental desks are just inside. If you're planning a self-drive holiday remember to compare car hire at Alicante Airport. Bus stops are upstairs, outside the departures area. You can take bus C-6 to Alicante bus station, where you can find onward buses to the resorts.
You need a valid passport to fly from Glasgow to Alicante. If you're flying during the school holidays we recommend arriving at the airport early, as there can be big queues at security.
