Terminal Information – Departing

This is only a guideline. Always check your boarding pass for up-to-date terminal information.

Virgin Australia fly from terminal 1, Tigerair depart from terminal 2, Jetstar flights depart from terminal 3 and Qantas depart from terminal 4. All of the terminals have a good range of places to eat and shop. In Terminal 1 you'll find Salsa's, Hungry Jack's and Hudson's Coffee with shops such as Ripcurl, WHSmith, Zoodle and Sunglass Hut. In Terminal 2 there's a Four Alls, Subway and The Coffee Club with a Relay and Hub Convenience for last minute essentials. Terminal 3 has a Sumo Salad, a Red Rooster and a Dome. Shops include Relay and Australian Way. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the airport, apart from in terminal 4 where you will need to pay to use the computer terminals. The terminal does have a Qantas Club lounge, exclusively for Qantas Club members, Platinum frequent flyer card holders and Gold frequent flyer card holders.

 

Terminal Information – Arriving

Qantas land at terminal 1, Virgin Australia land at terminal 3, and Tigerair Australia and Jetstar both land at terminal 4. You can reach the city centre by bus, taxi, or by hiring a car at Melbourne Airport. The express Skybus Shuttle leaves from terminals 1 and 3, with a 20 minute journey time to Melbourne's CBD. The bus also offers a complimentary transfer service to some hotels in Melbourne. There's also a Greenbus shuttle: pre-booking is required. Local buses run by Public Transport Victoria leave from terminal 1, opposite the taxi rank.

 

Practical Information

You need to show photographic ID on domestic routes within Australia. For Aussies this doesn't necessarily mean a passport, but we recommend any Brits visiting the land down under carry theirs.
