Terminal Information – Departing
Newcastle Airport has one terminal. The departure lounge has a small collection of shops. This includes airport favourites like World Duty Free, Boots and WH Smith as well as a few high-street names like JD Sports and Accessorize. There's a good range of places to grab a bite to eat or relax with a drink. If you're in a hurry you can enjoy a quick snack at Upper Crust, Greggs, Starbucks or Burger King. If you have more time to relax you can sit down for a meal at The Cabin or the Flying Hippo American Diner. There's a bar at the airport, The Beer House, perfect if you need a pre-flight tipple to steady your nerves. The pub even has a small courtyard, so smokers can enjoy a sneaky puff before boarding. There's one business lounge at the airport, run by Aspire. With unlimited Wi-Fi and a range of complimentary snacks and drinks, it's ideal if you've got a bit of work to do before you fly (or if you just fancy a bit of extra luxury). It's available to passengers on all airlines, and entry costs £21.99*.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Geneva Airport straddles the Franco-Swiss borders, and is split into two sections. If you're heading to France, don't leave the building. After picking up your luggage and going through customs, wander over to the check-in area and follow the "destination France" signs. Car hire from Geneva Airport is available in both sections of the airport: make sure you go to the correct side before picking up your vehicle. Public transport is available from the airport. Trains take about five minutes to reach central Geneva, while buses take slightly longer. Pick up your Unireso ticket in the arrivals hall: this works on all public transport for 80 minutes, no matter where you're going in the canton.
