Terminal 1 at Manchester Airport has a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops for travellers. Stores include big high street labels like Next, Fat Face, Boss and Jo Malone as well as airport essentials like WH Smith and Boots. There's also a Cloud Spa, if you need a little treat before boarding. Dining options range from British favourites at the Spud Factory, Mexican classics at Mi Casa Burritos, and quick on-the-go snacks from Burger King and Greggs. For a pre-flight tipple you can enjoy cocktails at Bar MCR or beer at The Grain Loft. Terminal 2 has a smaller selection of shops, although some big high street brands are available. Dining options include Frankie & Benny's, Caffe Ritazza and The Spinning Jenny.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Budget airlines land at terminal 1 while traditional airlines land at terminal 2. A free shuttle bus connects the two terminals. The airport is connected to the city centre by the red metro line. The journey takes around half an hour. Alternatively you can take bus #84, which calls at both terminals and takes about 40 minutes to reach the city. Remember to validate your ticket after boarding: you could face a fine if you forget. It's best to ignore ticket touts and book your taxi from the kiosk inside the airport. Another option is car hire from Sofia Airport, available from a range of rental car firms.
