Terminal Information – Departing
Exeter Airport has one terminal. The departure lounge is quite small with the usual range of facilities. There's a bar, a coffee shop, a restaurant and a World Duty Free shop. Although you can't enjoy a tax free discount on domestic flights, you can take advantage of slightly lower prices on a range of luxury goods. Fast Track security is available at Exeter Airport for £3.50*, but you need to pre-book. Fast-Track lets you skip past the queues and straight into the departure lounge. If you arrive at the airport early and need somewhere comfortable to relax you can check into the Executive Lounge for £17.50*. This price gets you complimentary Wi-Fi, snacks and drinks.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Flybe flights land at Terminal 3. All of Manchester Airports terminals are within walking distance, so if this changes it won't mess up your onward travel plans too much. There's a taxi rank outside every terminal and you can expect to pay about £18* for a ride into the city centre. Manchester Airport has its own train station, located between terminals 1 and 2. A one-way ticket to Piccadilly Station costs £4.20*. The airport also has a tram stop, and tickets into the city cost £4.20* here as well. National Express and Stagecoach shuttles also serve the airport. We recommend booking your tickets in advance to get the best prices and avoid disappointment. Car hire at Manchester Airport is available. Prices vary depending on provider, vehicle type and time of year. You can compare deals with Skyscanner to find out who's offering the best bargain.
You don't need a passport to travel to Manchester from Exeter. You will need to bring along some photographic identification, which you will be asked to show at the check-in desk and departure gate. You can find a full list of acceptable ID on Flybe's website. Driving licenses, recently expired passports, and government issued ID cards are usually fine. We recommend arriving at the airport no later than one hour before your flight is scheduled to depart: slightly earlier if you have luggage to check into the hold.
