Terminal Information – Departing
This is only a guideline. Always check your boarding pass for up-to-date terminal information.
Singapore Airlines depart from terminal 1 and Emirates depart from terminal 3. One hour of free Wi-Fi is available in both terminals. Dubai Airport has a huge array of facilities, including showers (use of which is complimentary) and smoking lounges. You'll find plenty of global names in both departure lounges, from American Starbucks to Irish Butler's Chocolate Cafe. There are 80 places to eat in the airport and a wide range of places to shop. VIP lounges are available throughout the airport: the Marhaba Lounge is pay-in and available to economy passengers on all airlines.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Singapore Changi Airport is absolutely massive. You can travel between the terminals on foot, although it may take you a while. The easiest way to reach the city is by subway: you'll find the station in between terminals 2 and 3. Taxis are metered and fares are quite reasonable. There are also taxi ranks: cabs in Singapore are fairly reasonable and are always metered. There are bus stops on the lower floors of each terminal: note that you need to have the exact change in order to buy a bus ticket. Car hire from Singapore Changi Airport is also available, and is a good option if you already know your way around the city.
Practical Information
British citizens flying from Dubai to Singapore won't need a visa for visits up to 30 days. This includes tourism, business discussions, and social visits. You will need to make sure your passport has at least six months validity from the date of entry. As this is an international flight we recommend arriving at the airport at least two hours before scheduled departure.
