Terminal Information – Arriving
Glasgow Airport has one terminal, making it easy to navigate and find your way to onward transportation. There’s a taxi rank outside the terminal building. A black cab may be one of the quickest way into the city however it is one of the more expensive options. There are also shuttle buses into town, which are a lot cheaper however your journey time will be slightly longer.
It’s not necessary to bring your passport if you’re flying to Scotland. You simply need to bring a form of photographic ID: your driving license is acceptable. We recommend arriving at the airport early, definitely no later than one hour before your flight is scheduled to depart. Leave extra time if you’re bringing hold luggage, travelling during rush hour, or flying during the school holidays.
As easyJet don’t have check-in desks, you will need to print your boarding card before coming to Bristol Airport. Alternatively you can download the easyJet app onto your smartphone: this allows you to use an electronic boarding card. Just show your phone at security.
What to expect in Glasgow
Unfortunately, Glasgow has a bit of a rough reputation. Once you arrive you’ll see that it’s a very friendly city, known for its warm and welcoming locals. There are lots of excellent art galleries and cultural institutions, making it quite a high-brow destination.
Glasgow is generally less expensive than Bristol. Scottish banknotes are used the majority of the time in Scotland. Sometimes it can be quite difficult to spend them in England. Only take small amounts of money from the ATM at a time, and try to avoid spending your English banknotes.
