Terminal Information – Departing

American Airlines, Delta, Southwest and Spirit leave from Terminal 1. United and Virgin America flights depart from Terminal 3. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the airport. The Club executive lounges are located in both terminals, and economy flyers can purchase a day pass for access. There's also a Centurion Lounge for American Express cardholders, and a United Club lounge for United Club members. There's an aviation museum in Terminal 1, and art exhibitions located throughout the airport. There's an Xpress Spa in both terminals too, if you want to arrive in Los Angeles feeling refreshed. Plenty of food options are available at the airport, particularly from big brands like Auntie Anne's, Cinnabon, Burger King, Carl's Jr. and Chili's. Enjoy one last chance to win big with the slot machines located throughout the airport (over 21's only).
Terminal Information – Arriving
Southwest land at Terminal 1, Virgin America and Spirit land at Terminal 3, American Airlines land at Terminal 4, Delta flights land at Terminal 5, and United land at Terminal 8. Public transport serves every terminal, and there's a taxi rank outside each arrival hall. The LAX FlyAway bus runs between the airport and Downtown Union Station, Hollywood, Santa Monica, Van Nuys and Westwood. It costs $8* (just over £5.50) for a single ticket. Airport Shuttle C goes to the LAX City Bus Centre, where you can catch local buses. Shuttle G takes passengers to the nearest metro station. Most people choose to drive in LA, so compare car hire at LAX to find the best deals. The car rental centre is located off-site, but free shuttles are available.
Practical Information
Although this is a domestic route, British citizens are required to show their passports for security reasons. American citizens can use their US driving licenses. We recommend arriving at the airport about 90 minutes before your flight is scheduled to depart.

Summers in Los Angeles are cooler than Las Vegas, with an average temperature of 22°C. Winters are warmer with an average temperature of 13°C. Prices in Los Angeles are fairly similar to Las Vegas, although it does depend what you're looking to buy. A mid-range dinner for two will be cheaper in LA, but a cheap lunch will be more expensive. There is no time difference between LA and Las Vegas.
