The most convenient (and scenic) option is the water taxi: unfortunately it's also the most expensive at €100-160* (about £76-114). It's the only option which will take you right into the city centre, as Venice has no roads. The boat launch point is just a short walk from the terminal. If you don't mind walking with your case, you can take bus no. 5 to Piazzale Roma car park just outside the city walls. Buses from the airport are also available to towns along the coast, Alpine ski resorts, and the train station at Mestre. Tickets are available from the machine in baggage reclaim, from the drivers of ATVO and FSVbusitalia buses, and from the public transportation ticket office inside the terminal. If you're planning a self-drive tour around the region you can hire a car at the airport. You can compare prices with Skyscanner to find the best deals.
