Royal Air Maroc flights

Morocco’s largest airline offers scheduled flights to Asia, Europe, North America, South America, and other African destinations. They also offer occasional charter flights for special events, such as Hajj: the Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca. The airline is fully owned by the government of Morocco, and has its own frequent flyer program called Safar Flyer.

How to Check In

You can check-in at the airport, either at the Royal Air Maroc desk or at a self service kiosk. Online check-in is only available at selected airports. These are Amsterdam, Bordeaux, Beirut, Marseilles, Nice, Nantes, Toulouse, Strasbourg, Milan, Istanbul and London Heathrow. Online check-in is available from 24 hours before your flight, up until two hours before departure.

Baggage Allowance and Fees

Baggage allowance differs depending on route. On most flights economy passengers can bring one piece weighing up to 23kg and premium travellers can bring two pieces weighing up to 23kg. Passengers get one extra piece when flying to the USA, Canada, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Africa, and Lebanon. On flights to Brazil passengers have a weight allowance of 32kg per bag, with economy passengers entitled to two pieces and premium passengers three. Safar Flyer members with Silver, Gold or Ambassador status are entitled to bring an extra piece in addition to their allowance on all routes. This can weigh up to 23kg on (or 32kg if flying to Brazil).

Seating – Leg Room, Choosing Seats

Legroom is a comfortable 32” seat pitch in Economy class, and a very reasonable 36” in business class. Seat selection takes place at check-in.

Booking Fees

There’s a flat fee of £4* if you book online, and £15* if you book at an agency. Fees vary over the telephone, but for flights from Britain to Morocco the fee is £15*. *Prices subject to change

Meals, Snacks, Drinks

Meals are served on all flights lasting longer than two and a half hours, with regularly changing menus that are sure to keep frequent flyers happy. In business class the meals are served on china plates, and the meal begins with an aperitif. On short flights, a hot snack is served. Complimentary beverages are provided in both the economy and premium cabins.

On-Time Punctuality

Royal Air Maroc are a fairly reliable airline, with around eight out of ten flights arriving at their destination on time.
