From London-City: a business-orientated airport with just one terminal, London-City has a functional departure lounge with free Wi-Fi. Shops include Aelia Duty Free, Boots, Links of London and Tumi. There are two coffee shops, a bar, a sandwich shop and a restaurant.

From London-Heathrow: Lufthansa fly from Terminal 2 (the Queen's Terminal) while British Airways fly from Terminal 5. Confirm your departure terminal before heading for the airport. Heathrow has three stops on the tube and train: one for Terminals 1, 2 & 3, one for Terminal 4, and one for Terminal 5. Terminals 2 and 5 both have a great range of designer shops and exclusive eateries.

From London-Stansted: Stansted only has one terminal. There are a few high-street shops and airport favourites. Restaurants include James Martin Kitchen, Itsu, and Giraffe. There's also a champagne bar, if you really want to kick off your trip in style.

Bus number 61 also goes to the city centre, and both terminals have a taxi rank. Car hire desks can be found in the arrivals area. At Frankfurt-Hahn: It takes about two hours to reach downtown Frankfurt from this no-frills airport. There's a bus which departs from the airport every half hour. Tickets cost €14* (just over £10) and you can purchase them from the kiosk at the airport.
