Taxis are metered, so you should expect to pay a fair amount when going into the city centre. The airport bus is the best option if you're going to Museumplein or Leidseplein. If you're planning a self-drive holiday you'll find all of the car hire desks inside the Plaza: remember to compare car hire at Schiphol Airport first. The airport also has its own train station, located downstairs. It's best to buy your ticket before boarding the train. Tickets can be purchased from the machines in the station concourse.
