Terminal Information

Edinburgh Airport

You should arrive at Edinburgh Airport at least 1 hour before your flight to Heathrow is scheduled to depart. There are check in desks and self-service points in the check in hall, it is also possible to check in online or via mobile from 24 hours before your flight. Bag drop desks are available for any hold luggage if you have checked in online.

Whilst you are waiting for your flight there are plenty of shops and restaurants to enjoy in the departures lounge. Shops include MAC Cosmetics, Dixons, Boots, WHSmith and Kurt Geiger. A choice of places to eat feature The Gathering Deli, Caffe Nero and Yo! Sushi.

If you would like to upgrade your visit to Edinburgh Airport you can book into the airport lounges; the No. 1 Traveller Lounge or the Aspire Lounge. Both offer complimentary food, drinks and unlimited Wi-Fi.

Heathrow Airport

Virgin Atlantic flights which are operated by Aer Lingus fly into Terminal 2. British Airways flights into Heathrow Airport fly into their exclusive terminal, Terminal 5. Within Arrivals at the terminals you will find shops to pick up any essentials such as Boots (T2 only), Starbucks (T5 only), WHSmith, and ticket booths for the London Underground, Heathrow Express and National Express buses.

Onward travel options at Heathrow Airport include buses, car rental, the Heathrow Express train and the London Underground all of which connect you to the centre of London with ease. The Heathrow Express is the quickest way to reach the London Paddington with a 15 minute journey and stops at both Terminal 2 and Terminal 5. A standard ticket will cost £26.50.

The airport has three stations for London Underground services, the Terminal 2 station is a short walk from the terminal via a clearly signed underground walkway and the Terminal 5 station is in the basement of the terminal building. Regular services run between 5am and 11.35pm with a single ticket to Zone 1 which covers central London costing £5.70
