Sydney’s local airport, Sydney J.A. Douglas McCurdy Airport, is located a little over 8 miles from Sydney, Nova Scotia. For most visitors, organising car hire at Sydney Airport is the easiest way to get to Sydney and the surrounding towns. Budget, Enterprise, Avis, and National all have car hire desks inside the arrivals area, and it’s possible to compare car hire deals from these companies in advance with Skyscanner.

For those that don’t want to hire a car, the easiest way to get into Sydney is by taxi. Macleod’s Shuttle Service and Briand’s Taxi LTD are two local taxi firms that offer airport transfers. It’s best to pre-book as taxis don't always wait outside the terminal.
