Terminal Information – Arriving
Flights from the UK land in the non-Schengen terminal, Terminal 1. The airport is about 12 miles away from the city and is well connected by public transport. There is no metro station at the airport, but you can take a bus to the nearest one. Tickets are available from the public transport kiosks inside the terminal, the vending machines beside the bus stops, and the DPP kiosk in the arrivals hall. Tickets work on all public transport and are transferable for up to half an hour, 90 minutes or three days. Remember to validate your ticket before boarding the bus. There's also an airport express bus, which offers a direct service from the airport to Hlavní Nádraží, Masarykovo Nádraží, and Náměstí Republiky in central Prague. Tickets cost CZK 60* (about £1.55) if bought on the day but are cheaper if you buy online. There's also a taxi rank: expect to pay CZK 400-800* (£10-21) for the trip into the city centre. A number of international and local car hire companies operate from the airport, an excellent option if you want to get out of the city and see more of Bohemia.
You need a valid passport to fly to Prague from Birmingham. It needs to be valid for the full duration of your stay. For international flights it's best to arrive at the airport at least two hours before departure.
