How to get to Liverpool Airport
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is on the River Mersey, 7.5 miles from the city centre, just off the A561 and near to the M62, M57 and M56 motorways. If you’re not staying long, head for the Drop Off 2 car park, which is free for the first 20 minutes. Book longer stay parking online to save up to 70% compared to on-the-day prices.
There are no direct trains to Liverpool Airport, but you can reach Liverpool South Parkway Station (2 miles from the airport) efficiently by rail from Manchester, Yorkshire and further afield via Crewe. From here, get the Arriva 500 bus to the airport, which also stops at the Liverpool One Bus Station, allowing you to connect with National Express coach services to London and the rest of the UK. If you’re coming by bus from the centre of Liverpool, the 86A is another option. There is also a Northwest Coachlines service to Liverpool Airport, direct from Manchester.
