Airlines that fly from Stockholm to Helsinki
Finnair, Norwegian Air Shuttle and Scandinavian Airlines all fly direct to Helsinki from Stockholm-Arlanda. Finnair (operated by Nordic Regional Airlines) fly direct to Helsinki from Stockholm-Bromma.
Terminal Information – Departing

From Arlanda: Finnair usually leave from terminal 2 while Norwegian Air Shuttle and Scandinavian Airlines depart from terminal 5. Terminal 2 has recently been refurbished and has a 'lounge' feel, with seating designed in a more social manner. There are plenty of places to eat, ranging from Swedish delis to big international brands. There are plenty of new shops too, selling everything from duty free to children's toys. Terminal 5 also has a good range of cafes, bars, and restaurants. ITs selection of shops includesfast fashion favourites and high-end designer brands. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the airport.
From Bromma: Bromma Airport has one terminal. There are three places to eat in the departure lounge: Forno Romano (Italian), Sushi & Wok (Asian), and The Bar (pub grub). There's also a duty free store to browse. Three hours of free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the airport: you can pay for longer access using your credit or debit card.
Terminal Information – Arriving
The arrival halls of terminals 1 and 2 are connected by a corridor. There are taxi ranks outside both terminals. You can expect to pay €40-45* (about SEK 369-416/£31.50-35.50) for a taxi into the city centre. The trip takes about half an hour. Car hire at Helsinki airport is available from Sixt, Avis, Europcar, Hertz and Budget. Their desks are in the corridor between terminal 1 and terminal 2 arrivals. A number of buses run between the airport and the city: the Finnair Express bus and local routes including no.61 to Tikkurila station and 615 to Central Railway Station. The Finnair bus departs the airport every 20 minutes and tickets cost €6.20* (about SEK 57/£4.90).
Practical Information
You usually don't need travel documents to travel between Stockholm and Helsinki, however borders are being more tightly controlled in Northern Europe. We recommend bringing your passport just in case. Aim to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before your flight is scheduled to depart.
What to expect in Helsinki
The local currency is the Euro (€). Prices in Helsinki are slightly lower than in Stockholm. Dinner for two is about 5% cheaper while local beer is about 7% cheaper.
