Where to hire a car at Vilnius Airport
Avis, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz, Sixt, Trusticar, Ollex, Neorent, Eurorenta, Autocom and Autobanga all offer car hire from Vilnius Airport. They can all be found in the arrivals hall of the passenger terminal. Green Motion also offer car hire from the airport, however they're based off-site at the Airinn Vilnius Hotel.
Petrol stations near Vilnius Airport
If you select a 'full to full' car rental agreement you will need to hand your car back with a full tank.
There are a few petrol stations within five minutes drive of the airport. The nearest is Baltic Petroleum. If you're coming from Vilnius, nstead of taking the left turn onto the airport grounds, continue until the next right hand turn. Turn left, and left again: the petrol station will be on your left. From here you just need to turn left then right and head back in the direction you came from. It should only add a minute or two onto your journey.
Driving around Vilnius Airport
The roads around the airport are mostly small, two-lane roads. You don't need to go on the motorway to drive into Vilnius. The A3 highway is near the airport: this road runs from Vilnius to the border with Belarus. The road is part of the E28, which ultimately connects with Berlin. It only takes four minutes to drive to the highway from the airport.

In light traffic it can take as little as 10 minutes to drive to the city centre from the airport. We recommend looking for accommodation in Vilnius with car parking. If you can't find anything, don't worry: there are plenty of places to park in Vilnius. There are three guarded parking lots in the city centre, while on-street parking is available for a small fee.
Historic hill forts and an easily walkable medieval town centre make Kernave a great choice for a day trip or a relaxing base near Vilnius.
It takes around 40 minutes to drive to Kernave in light traffic. As the town is fairly rural there are plenty of places to park for free. Many hotels, B&Bs, and other accommodation options in the area have their own reserved parking areas for guests.
Beautiful lake-side landscapes and an observatory that's home to Europe's largest telescope draw plenty of tourists to the Moletai lakelands. The town of Moletai itself is just under 19 miles from the beautiful Aukštaitija National Park.
It takes about an hour to drive to Moletai from Vilnius Airport in light traffic. The rural location of the area means there are plenty of places to park, and the majority of hotels expect guests to arrive by car.
