Terminal Information – Departing

From LAX: Southwest fly from Terminal 1, Virgin America from 3, American Airlines and American Eagle from terminals 4 and 6, Delta fly from 5 and 6, and United leave from terminals 7 and 8.
From LA-Ontario: United Express fly from Terminal 2. The departure lounge has a deli, a cafe bar and a range of vending machines for hungry travellers. There's a book store, a Bijoux Terner boutique, and a California & Co.
From John Wayne: United fly from Terminal B and Southwest fly from Terminal C. Both terminals have a good range of places to eat, drink and shop. Terminal B has a wine bar and Terminal C has a Belgian Beer Bar.
From Bob Hope: Southwest fly from Terminal A and United Express depart from Terminal B. The airport is small and has a limited selection of shops and places to eat.
From Long Beach: JetBlue flights depart from the North Terminal. This part of the airport features lots of great places to eat including McKenna's Burger Bar, George's Greek Cafe, and Sweet Jill's Bakery.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Once you arrive at San Francisco International Airport you have plenty of transfer options. A taxi to the city centre will set you back $40* (about £28) or slightly more. The BART Rapid Rail station is in the international terminal, so you will need to take the AirTrain shuttle to reach it. SamTrans bus numbers KX, 292, 397 and 398 also stop outside the international terminal, while numbers 140, 292 and 397 stop outside the Rental Car Center. Practical Information
Although this is a domestic route, British citizens will need to present their passports at the airport for security purposes. American citizens can pass through security with their driving licenses. We recommend arriving at the airport no later than one hour before your flight is scheduled to depart.
