Terminal Information
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol
There’s just one terminal at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The terminal is divided into three sections. The airport advises passengers on European flights using standard check-in to arrive at the airport at least two hours before their scheduled flight departure time. Passengers using online check-in should confirm their airline for advice on when they need to arrive.
Once you’re through to the departures lounge, you’ll find a range of facilities. There’s unlimited Wi-Fi available for free throughout the terminal building. Passengers can choose from an extensive selection of food, drink and shopping outlets and there’s also a spa and casino for pre-flight relaxation and entertainment.
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is located 25 kilometres northeast of Paris city centre. There are three terminals at the airport, with terminal 2 divided into seven lettered sections. Both KLM and Air France flights from Amsterdam arrive to Terminal 2F.
In the arrivals hall at Terminal 2F, there’s a great range of facilities including a tourist information point, a convenience store, cafés and car hire desks. Car hire companies operating at the airport include Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt.
Onward travel options include taxis, which are available right outside the terminal building and cost between €50.00 and €70.00 for a journey into Paris city centre, and shuttle buses, which cost €11.00 for a one way journey and take around an hour to reach central Paris. Trains also regularly depart from the airport station. The RER B train takes 35 minutes to get to Paris and a ticket costs around €10.00.
Paris Orly Airport
Paris Orly Airport is 13 kilometres south of Paris. The airport has two terminals, Terminal Sud and Terminal Ouest. Transvia flights from Amsterdam arrive to Terminal Sud. The arrivals hall in Terminal Sud is located on the ground floor. Here you’ll find a selection of shops and cafés, a tourist information point and a multimedia centre where you can get online.
Car hire desks are located in Terminal Ouest, accessed by a free shuttle bus service. Companies based at the airport include Sixt, Hertz, Enterprise, Firefly, Europcar and Avis.
If you choose to take public transport from the airport to Paris centre, you’ll find a range of options departing from Terminal Sud. There’s the RER express train and the Orlybus shuttle which take around 30 minutes to get to Paris. Local buses are also available. They take a little longer but tickets cost a little less.
Taxis are available from outside the airport terminal. The taxi rank is located outside Exit M of Terminal Sud. A standard fare will cost between €40.00 and €55.00 with higher rates in the evenings and on Sundays.

In Paris, you can expect to pay €50.00 for a mid-range three course meal for two, €5.00 for a bottle of beer and €3.50 for a cappuccino.
