Why fly Transavia

How to check in

For most Transavia flights, it’s possible to check in online from 30 hours to 4 hours before your flight’s departure time. You can check in online using a computer, mobile phone, or tablet such as an iPad. Mobile and tablet users may find it easier to use Transavia’s app, which is available for both iOS and Android devices. It’s also possible to check in at the airport desk, and there is no additional charge for this. This, along with Transavia’s in-flight entertainment app, is two ways Transavia separates itself from other low-cost airlines flying similar routes.

Transavia’s main aircraft, the Boeing 737-700, has a seat pitch (the distance between your seat and the seat in front) of 30 inches and a width of 17 inches in economy. Economy Comfort and Economy Business tickets both offer 33 inches of legroom as standard. It’s also possible to upgrade and pay for extra legroom when purchasing your standard economy ticket.

Booking fees

Currently, there is no booking fee if using a Visa or Mastercard Credit or Debit card. A fee of 1.75% is added to payments made using PayPal. For an additional €2 (paid at the time of the booking) you can reserve the right to change the passenger details on the ticket up to 48 hours before the flight’s departure time.

Service on board

Transavia sells a selection of snacks, and hot and cold drinks on-board their flights. This includes sandwiches, tea and coffee, cheese toasties, tapas boards, chocolate, and cookies. Transavia also offers in-flight entertainment using their app (which must be downloaded in advance) allowing passengers to watch a selection of movies and TV shows during the flight.

For the London to Paris route, Transavia is currently rated 7th in terms of punctuality. The average delay time for Transavia flights on this route is 31 minutes, significantly longer than the typical 5 minute delay on Flybe flights for the same route.
