With flights from Dubai to Mumbai leaving every day, it's easy to find cheap flights from Dubai to Mumbai even at the last minute. While flights only arrive at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (BOM) in Mumbai, you can depart from several airports. Dubai International Airport (DXB), Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) and Sharjah International Airport (SHJ) all offer cheap flights from Dubai to Mumbai.
Along with a number of airports to depart from, you have many choices as to which airline to fly with. More than a dozen airlines offer flights from Dubai to Mumbai. Some of the cheapest are IndiGo, GulfAir, FlyDubai and Air Arabia. If you're looking for direct flights, you'll want to book with Air India, Etihad Airways or Hahn Air Systems.
Both Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport have a large selection of places to shop and eat. They both offer a selection of high-end shops as well as places to buy snacks or magazines. There are a few restaurants at the Sharjah International Airport, but there's only one shop. When flying from Dubai to Mumbai, whatever airport you depart from, plan on arriving at the airport at least two hours early. Don't leave for the airport without your passport because it's required for entry into Mumbai.
When your plane arrives at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, you'll find a number of shops and places to eat. Once you're ready to head to the city, go to either Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 to arrange for car hire. If you're interested in taking a bus to the city, you can catch one at either the domestic or international terminals. To take a taxi, you'll need to head to the arrivals terminal to arrange for a ride.
Time DifferencesOne of the first things you should do when you arrive at your destination when travelling from Dubai to Mumbai is to update your clock. Mumbai is an hour and a half ahead of Dubai, so you'll need to adjust accordingly.
Weather in MumbaiWhile Mumbai has a fairly warm climate, it's still not nearly as hot as the tropical desert climate of Dubai. Temperatures can reach as high as 41 °C in the height of summer in Dubai, and Mumbai's highs are around 36 °C. However, while Dubai tends to be hotter than Mumbai for most of the year, Mumbai's winters are warmer than Dubai's. Winter temperatures can drop to 19 °C in Dubai, but they bottom out at around 24 °C in Mumbai.
Dining Out in MumbaiWhen visiting Mumbai, you'll be quite pleased with the prices for dining out. Meals tend to cost about a third or even less than what you'd pay for similar fare in Dubai. Whether you're eating at a fast food establishment or a nice restaurant, you'll pay a fraction of what you would in Dubai.
