When leaving Sydney for Paris, you will fly out of Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport, one of the busiest airports in the country. Located about 8kms from the Sydney CBD, the airport can be reached in various ways. For example, you might decide to drive there in your own car (there is short-term and long-term parking available at the terminal); take a public bus or train; or catch a taxi.

On the day of your overseas flight to Paris, you will need to make your way to the international terminal at Sydney airport. While you wait to hop on the plane, you’ll see that the building houses many services, such as a plethora of shops and restaurants, plus Wi-Fi.

Your plane may land at one of three airports which service the city of Paris in France. There is the main Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (referred to by locals as Aeroport Roissy), which is about 26km from the centre of Paris and the second busiest airport in Europe; Paris Orly International Airport (also known simply as Paris Orly Airport), which is just 13km south of Paris and which used to be the main hub for the city; and Paris Beauvais-Tille Airport (also known as Paris Beauvais Airport or Beauvais-Tille Airport), which is 85km from the CBD.

Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports have a large number of shops and restaurants for passengers to use, as well as other services; while Beauvais airport has a more limited number of food and beverage outlets and shops, plus some other facilities.
