Airlines that fly from Miami to London

American Airlines, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic all offer direct flights to London-Heathrow from Miami International Airport. There are no direct flights to London's other airports at the time of writing.

 

Terminal Information – Departing

This is only a guideline. Always check your boarding pass for up-to-date terminal information.

Flights to London usually depart from the central terminal. There's a huge range of places to eat and shop at Miami International Airport. There's no reason to board your flight hungry: with bakeries, pizza places, salad bars and fine dining restaurant there really is something for every taste and budget. The shops are similarly diverse, ideal for making the most of your duty free allowance. There are currency exchange booths throughout the terminal, if you need to swap your dollars for pounds. The airport doesn't have free Wi-Fi, but you can use the internet connection to look up travel related flights for free. Perfect if you need to book your hotel in London or arrange car hire from Heathrow Airport.

 

Terminal Information – Arriving

British Airways flights land at terminal 5 while Virgin Atlantic and American Airlines both land at terminal 3. All terminals are well connected to the city centre by road and rail. Express trains to Paddington station call at both of the above terminals, as does the underground Piccadilly Line train. The overground is fastest, with a journey time of 15 minutes, while the underground is the cheapest. Road transfers in London can be slower due to traffic, but coaches and cabs are both available.

 

Practical Information

You need a valid passport to fly to London from Miami. American citizens don't need a visa to visit the UK for a holiday or for business meetings. If you're planning to work or study in the UK, or if you have a criminal record, you will need to apply for a visa. If in doubt, contact the British consulate. We recommend getting to the airport at least two hours before flight departure.
