Terminal Information – Departing
Flights to Manchester depart from Terminal 3. This luxurious terminal is exclusive to Emirates passengers, and boasts an impressive range of amenities. There's no shortage of places to kick back and relax in this terminal, which boasts its own Zen garden, a gym, a swimming pool and a spa: which first class passengers can use for free. There are free showers dotted around the terminal, in case you need to freshen up. Shopping in Terminal 3 is exceptional, with a wide range of designer clothes, jewellery and make-up shops to browse. Dining options are varied too, and there's something for every appetite. Grab a sweet treat at Ben's Cookies, a coffee and a croissant at Paul, some hummus at Wafi Gourmet, or a slap-up seafood dinner at Caviar House & Prunier. First and Business class passengers can relax in the VIP lounge before take-off, while economy passengers have the option to pay to use the VIP Al Majlis lounge.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Emirates flights land at Terminal 1, but if there's a change it won't matter too much: all of the terminals at Manchester Airport are within walking distance. The airport is well connected to the city centre by public transport. You can take the train, tram or coach. The airport's train station is in between terminals 1 and 2, and one-way tickets to Piccadilly Station cost £4.20. Tram tickets are the same price. Ticket prices for the National Express and Stagecoach buses vary, and are usually cheaper if you book in advance. There's a taxi rank outside Terminal 1: you can expect to pay about £18* to reach the city centre. Car hire at Manchester Airport is also available, and is a great option if you want to see more of the north of England during your trip.

You need a valid passport to travel from Dubai to Manchester. You need to have legal status in the UAE in order to leave the country. Aim to get to the airport around two hours before your flight to Manchester is scheduled to depart.
What to expect in Manchester
Manchester is four hours behind Dubai and the currency is the pound sterling (£). The temperature in Manchester is a lot lower than Dubai, so bring plenty of cosy clothes. July and August are the warmest months, with an average temperature of 16°C, while January and February are the coldest with an average temperature of 4°C.
