This is only a guideline. Always check your boarding pass for up-to-date terminal information.
Flights to Boston depart from terminal 2. This terminal has its own dedicated US Customs pre-clearance facility where passengers can undergo TSA approved security checks before flying. Although this adds on to your time at Dublin Airport, it means that when your flight arrives in Boston you can stroll straight through customs like a domestic passenger. Once you've passed Dublin Airport's security checks you can enjoy the shops and restaurants in The Loop, Dublin Airport's dedicated entertainment area. Pick up some Irish souvenirs, relax over a Butler's coffee, or indulge in duty free shopping. As Boston is outwith the EU you can enjoy some fantastic tax discounts.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Boston-Logan International Airport is about three miles from the city centre. All of the terminals at the airport are connected to the blue line and silver line subway stations by free shuttle buses. Subway tickets cost about $2.50* (roughly £1.70). We recommend reading up on the city's public transport system before you fly so that you know which bus and subway train to take. Boston taxis are expensive, and you'll pay at least $25* (about £17) if you're heading into the city centre. Car hire at the airport is available from Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, E-Z Rent-A-Car, Hertz, National, Payless and Thrifty.

If in doubt, speak to your nearest American embassy. Those eligible to travel to Boston under the VWP will need to fill in an online ESTA form 72 hours before flight departure. For flights to the USA it's best to arrive at the airport at least two hours before your flight.
