Flight deals of the week

Sometimes it's hard to find the best deal, so we've pulled together cheap breaks, flights and accommodation so you don't have to do the hard work!

Fancy a getaway without breaking the bank? We’ve rounded up some of the best flight deals coming up over the next couple of months. From short haul city breaks in vibrant European destinations to long haul dream holidays, allow us to inspire you.

Stansted to Cologne – Return from £31

Cologne’s biggest attraction is its incredible 13th Century cathedral – and the breathtaking views across the Rhine from the top of the tower. After admiring the works of the modern art masters in the Museum Ludwig or learning more about the city’s millennia old history in the Romano-Germanic Museum, head to a bier hall and try the local tipple, Kölsch.

Gatwick to Dubai – Return from £202

Dubai has a well-earned reputation for excess, but it’s not all about glitz and glamour: this Emirati city has plenty to impress adrenaline addicts, too. It’s one of the most impressive spots for skydiving, as you get an incredible view of the man-made Palm Jumeirah islands. Dune bashing tours – off-roading in the desert – is another exhilarating way to spend an afternoon. As for shopping, avoid the sprawl of Dubai Mall and head to BoxPark instead. A concept mall built in old shipping containers, this is where you’ll find smaller, quirkier designers at a more wallet-friendly price-point.

Newcastle to Warsaw – Return from £40

Warsaw is one of the best value destinations for a cultural break, with a huge variety of museums and a UNESCO listed old town. After being burnt to the ground by the Nazis during WWII, the city centre was carefully reconstructed – which is why Warsaw is often nicknamed ‘the phoenix’. Strolling along the city’s Royal Route is the quickest way to take in the historic sights, including the evocative Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Warsaw has excellent nightlife too, with cocktail bars like the ROOTS revolutionising the city’s drinking scene.

Heathrow to Boston – Return from £281

Boston is one of the oldest cities in the United States, and you can learn more about the city’s vibrant history by wandering along the Freedom Trail – home to sights like Paul Revere House and Boston Common, which played key roles in the American Revolution. Sports fans will want to stop in for a tour of Fenway Park, the stadium that’s been home to the Red Sox baseball team since 1912, while foodies will enjoy munching their way through the city’s famous clam chowder – look out for $1 oyster deals, too.

Stansted to Oslo – Return from £32

Norway’s capital has an incredible location on the edge of the Oslofjord. During summer, locals head into the forest for hiking but when the snow falls it transforms into a paradise for cross country skiers. There are plenty of attractions showing off the country’s vibrant Viking history, while the Munch museum is a must-visit for modern art fans. As well as chic restaurants serving up Scandi cuisine, you’ll also find cheap eats destinations – such as Mogador, which serves tasty mezze.

Gatwick to Saint Lucia – Return from £308

A slice of tropical paradise, Saint Lucia has everything you’d expect from a Caribbean Island: lush rainforest, hidden waterfalls and – most importantly – pristine beaches. It’s the perfect destination for switching off and unwinding, with lots of luxury resorts and spas to indulge in. If you get bored of lounging, go for a stroll around the old French Colonial capital of Soufrière or for a hike on the Gros Piton nature trail.

Edinburgh to Vigo – Return from £40

Tucked into the northwest corner of Spain, the Galician city of Vigo feels a million miles away from Spain’s Costas. The city is home to Europe’s largest fishing fleet, so the seafood is fantastic. Especially the octopus. Try it paired with the local Albariño wine, which Rias Baixas is famous for. Vigo’s hilly old town is extremely walkable and dotted with tiny tapas bars and artisanal shops.
