Norwegian Airlines and Scandinavian Airlines both fly direct to Oslo Gardermoen from Stockholm Arlanda Airport. There are no direct flights to Oslo from any of Stockholm's other airports.

Terminal Information – Departing

Flights to Oslo generally depart from terminal 5. If you fancy a final fika there are ten coffee shops in this terminal including Starbucks, Grand Cafe Stockholm and Cafe Ritazza. If you need something more substantial there are lots of restaurants to choose from including Max hamburgers, Itamae Sushi and Andersson Food & Akvavit.

Shops in terminal 5 include travel essentials WH Smith and Duty Free as well as fashion brands Victoria's Secret, Polo Ralph Lauren and Superdry. There's also a 7-11 and a newsagent if you need any snacks for the 'plane. There's a play area for children near gates 1-10, perfect for tiring little ones out before their flight. As for internet, every passenger can enjoy three hours of free Wi-Fi.

Terminal Information – Arriving

The fastest way to reach the city centre is by Flytoget express train. These leave the airport every ten minutes and take about 20 minutes to reach the centre of Oslo. NSB trains are less frequent (twice an hour) but are cheaper and only take three minutes longer to reach the city. Flybussen and Flybussenekspressen coaches are another option if you want to take public transport. Taxis are extremely expensive, but if you're going to get one it's best to order it from the counter inside the terminal as you'll be given a fixed price.

Europcar, Hertz, Sixt and Budget all provide car hire from Oslo Gardermoen Airport.

Practical Information

You don't need a passport to fly between Oslo and Stockholm as both cities are within the Schengen Area: despite the fact that Norway isn't in the European Union. You may be asked to show some photographic identification before boarding so it's best to bring your passport along anyway.
