Terminal Information – Departing

This is only a guideline. Always check your boarding pass for up-to-date terminal information.

Flights to Miami usually depart from Terminal B. Terminal B is split into two departure lounges, and you will be directed to the correct one on the day you travel. Double check your gate number after you've checked in, as heading for the wrong airside area could cause a lot of hassle later on. You will need to take the AGT shuttle train, located after the security check-point, to reach the boarding area. The journey takes just over a minute. Both departure areas in Terminal B have a wide selection of places to eat, ranging from Mexican restaurants and steakhouses to burger bars and hot dog joints. There are a few shops, most offer functional travel essentials and souvenirs. Both departure areas have an XpresSpa, if you want to treat yourself before your flight. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the airport: perfect if you have a few holiday snaps to upload.

American Airlines flights land at Miami Airport's North Terminal while Delta land at the South Terminal. The best way to get around Miami is by taxi or rental car. There's a taxi rank outside the airport. Cabs charge a flat rate of $32* (just over £21) to South Beach and $21.70* (just under £15.50) to downtown. The Car Rental Centeris off-site, can a free tram runs between it and the airport. If you would rather take public transport you can take the airport's free shuttle to the Tri-Rail and Metrorail stations.
