Airlines that fly from London to Seattle

Direct flights from London to Seattle Tacoma International Airport depart from London Heathrow Airport, flights are operated by British Airways and Delta.

Flights with one connection are also available, which can often be cheaper than flying direct. From London Heathrow you can fly with Condor and Lufthansa via Frankfurt or Icelandair via Rekyjavik. Icelandair flights also depart from London Gatwick Airport.

Terminal Information

London Heathrow Airport

London Heathrow Airport is 20 miles west of Central London and with train and London Underground stations serving all of the terminals the airport is easily accessed from London and the surrounding area.

Lufthansa and Icelandair flights to Seattle depart from Terminal 2 aka The Queens Terminal at London Heathrow Airport. Check in at Terminal 2 is on Level 5, from here you can proceed to the main departures lounge where there are a number of shops such as John Lewis, Ted Baker and Boots. The flight gates are on Level 4 where you will find further shops, restaurants and Terminal 2b for flights departing from B Gates. 

Delta Air Lines flights to Seattle Tacoma Airport depart from Terminal 4, the check in hall and the departures lounge are on Level 2. Shops and places to eat in the terminal include World Duty Free, Burberry, Beauty Stuiod, Pandora, Dining Street Restaurant, Costa Coffee and Caviar House and Prunier Seafood Bar.

You will need to head to Terminal 5 if you are flying to Seattle with British Airways. Like the other terminals here you will find designer brands, duty free shops and a great selection of places to eat.

London Gatwick Airport

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is located 12 miles to the south of Seattle. There is one central arrivals terminal with facilities such as a shop, information desks and access to onward travel options.

The airport has a train station; The SeaTAC Airport Station which you can reach via a covered walkway. There are services departing regularly throughout the day between 5am and 1am. It takes around 35 minutes to reach downtown Seattle and tickets must be purchased before boarding at the vending machines.

Car hire companies at Seattle Airport operate from a dedicated car rental centre, Alamo, Avis, Dollar, Enterprise and many others are located here. A shuttle bus is in operation from the airport to the rental car centre.

Practical Information

As a British passport holder you will not need a visa to travel to the USA thanks to the Visa Waiver Program which is currently in place. You will still need to obtain authorisation to travel to the USA via the Electronic System for Travel Authorisation operated by the US government. An ESTA costs $14 per person.
