Terminal Information – Departing
This is only a guideline. Always check your boarding pass for up-to-date terminal information.
Leeds-Bradford Airport is a small, one terminal airport. The departure lounge has a few shops which sell travel essentials. Pick up some poolside reading at WH Smith, stock up on full-size sunscreen and shampoo at Superdrug, or change your sterling for euro at Travelex. Bargain hunters can browse World Duty Free for great deals on spirits, cosmetics and designer accessories. If you need a snack before boarding you can pop into Burger King, Camden Food Co or Caffe Ritazza. For a pre-flight tipple there's a Sports Bar and The Saltaire bar. The airport has free Wi-Fi throughout and its own pay-in lounge, the Yorkshire Premier Lounge, which costs £21* per person to enter. You can book a space online at Leeds Bradford Airport's website.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Faro Airport is the only airport serving the Algarve. Public transport in the Algarve is very limited, so unless you're planning to stay on your resort for the week we recommend that you hire a car at Faro Airport. It's best to book early during the summer months (June to August) as demand is very high. If you're happy to stay put, there are plenty of companies in the region offering private airport transfer. There's a taxi rank outside the main terminal building, too. As for public transport, there's one bus line from the airport to the centre of Faro. From here you can find onward train or bus transportation to other Algarve destinations.
Practical Information
You need a valid passport to fly to Faro from the UK. Try to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before your flight departure time.
