To get to the airport from the city, you can take a regular taxi, water taxi, regular bus, or water bus. ATVO buses, called Venice Express buses leave from the Piazzale Roma stations from 5 a.m. until 8:50 p.m. The ACTV buses or bus line number 5 also leaves from Piazzale Roma beginning at 4:40 a.m. until 12:40 p.m. They are inexpensive and take about 25 minutes. Self-service ticket machines are located at Piazzale Roma. Water buses, which are operated by the Alilunga Company operate three lines to the airport. The Linea Blu (blue line) and the Linea Rossa (red line) stop at Piazza San Marco but not at the Rialto. The Linea Arancio (orange line) does stop at the Rialto, but not at Piazza San Marco.
